AQUA-LIT is a brand new project funded by EASME/EMFF in which EurOcean participates together with four of our Members (Nausicaa, FRCT, IEO, VLIZ) and S.Pro, a German company part of our Baltic Member, SUBMARINER Network.

It aims at providing the aquaculture sector with a sustainable toolbox of innovative ideas and methodologies to address marine littering in terms of:

- Prevention & reduction

- Monitoring & quantification

- Removal & recycling

Through a participatory approach AQUA-LIT expects to help stakeholders in the aquaculture chain to increase the understanding, awareness and availability of solutions. The goal is to help aquaculture to evolve into a less polluting sector.
