Join the #EU4Ocean Webinar Episode 8 on the Tourism Industry

The #EU4Ocean is pleased to announce Episode 8 of its webinar series, taking place on 28 May 2025 at 14:00 CEST, and dedicated to a vital topic: the intersection between tourism, ocean sustainability, and corporate social responsibility.

Coastal and maritime tourism are major drivers of economic growth across Europe. But they also pose significant risks to marine ecosystems if not managed responsibly. Episode 8 will take a closer look at how ocean literacy can empower tourism businesses to balance economic development with environmental stewardship.

Meet the Moderator and Speakers

The session will be moderated by Luca Tixi of Outdoor Portofino and Wild Steps, an ocean literacy advocate and sustainable tourism expert.

Joining the panel are three inspiring voices from the tourism sector who are integrating sustainability into their work:

  • Morgan Rae, L´Eautelier (Belgium) – Working at the intersection of design, ocean awareness, and hospitality

  • André Guiomar, Anthia Diving Center / Aquarama (Portugal) – Leading immersive, eco-conscious marine experiences in Sesimbra

  • Michael Martin, Titanic Trail (Ireland) – Championing cultural heritage tourism with a focus on education and preservation

Together, they’ll share hands-on experiences, practical insights, and real-world solutions demonstrating ocean-literate tourism's potential.
