On 16 and 17 October 2025, partners of the Regions4Climate project met in São Miguel, Azores, for the Challenge Suite 1 (Faster Adaptation) meeting, hosted by The Regional Science and Technology Fund (FRCT) and the University of the Azores.

The event focused on swift and practical solutions for coastal climate resilience, bringing together science, technology, and community participation. Partners took part in workshops and field visits showcasing local challenges and digital tools such as the Coastal Vulnerability Index App, Cetacea App, and Azorean Footprint App.

The participatory session “Engage to Adapt” highlighted the importance of aligning scientific knowledge with local needs and ensuring ongoing community engagement. Collaboration among regions, from the Azores to Tuscany, the Basque Country and South Aquitaine, proved key to advancing real-world adaptation.
