European Commission Launches Consultation on EU Arctic policy

The European Commission has launched a public consultation and call for evidence as part of the ongoing review of the EU Arctic policy. The objective is to ensure the policy remains fit to address current and future challenges in the rapidly changing Arctic region.

The consultation is open until 16 March 2026 and invites contributions from a broad range of stakeholders, including EU Member States, Indigenous and local communities, academia, civil society and industry.

Feedback will inform the Commission’s review process, covering key themes such as climate change, environmental protection, sustainable development, security and international cooperation in the Arctic.

More information and access to the consultation are available via the European Commission’s “Have Your Say” platform: here.
