Contribute to EMODnet Biology via the eDNA Expeditions Project

The eDNA Expeditions project (2026–2028) aims to establish local sampling teams at 25 marine sites worldwide to generate decision-ready biodiversity data for marine management and conservation, while contributing to global ocean knowledge.

Site recruitment is open until 15 February 2026. There are no participation fees; the project covers sampling kits, training, sample shipping, data processing, and dashboards, while participating sites conduct the sampling activities.

Relevant data will be republished in EMODnet Biology, supporting wider data dissemination and reuse in collaboration with OBIS.
