The German Ocean Foundation supports the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development by organizing the Ocean Conference Series, a mix of online dialogues and live events designed to raise awareness about the Ocean Decade and showcase innovative solutions to its ten challenges. The series brings together civil society, businesses, and policymakers to explore sustainable approaches for the ocean and its resources.
The next dialogue, on 19 February 2026 at 5 p.m. CET, will focus on the question: How can the ocean sustainably feed the world’s population? Speakers from Sea Ranger e.V. and EU4Algae will present approaches ranging from revitalizing small-scale coastal fisheries to scaling up algae as a sustainable resource.
