As part of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU, the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) is launching a Call for Expressions of Interest for SMEs, start-ups, scale-ups and solution providers active in the ocean and maritime domain.

Selected applicants will be invited to showcase their solutions during the Riding the wave from Ocean R&D to Market: the Blue Investment Challenge on 12 May 2026, at the Ayia Napa Marina, Cyprus — a high-visibility Cyprus EU Presidency event bringing together innovators, investors, policymakers and end-users.

The call targets solutions addressing key ocean and maritime challenges, including:

• tackling marine pollution and ocean health,
• climate action at sea (decarbonisation, adaptation, resilience),
• safe, secure and well-governed seas,
• knowledge to action (ocean observation, digital and space-enabled solutions).
