The National Research Council of Italy has launched the process to integrate the 2027 operational schedule of the research vessel R/V Gaia Blu, while beginning preparations for the 2028 campaign planning. The coordinated process aims to optimise ship-time allocation and support efficient planning of upcoming scientific missions.

In this context, the third call for access to the vessel will open on 4 May 2026. The call will provide full details on how the scientific community can submit research proposals for campaigns taking place between 2027 and 2028, including application procedures and requirements.
