The International Council for the Exploration of the Sea Annual Science Conference 2026, taking place from 15 to 18 September 2026 at Le Quartz – National Stage in Brest, has released an overview of its registration categories and participation options.
The fee structure has been designed to support broad participation across the marine science community. Several ticket categories are available, including early and standard registration, a reduced rate for ICES committees and expert groups, and a dedicated student fee for full-time Bachelor’s and Master’s students. Additional options include one-day passes, access to the conference app and keynote recordings, and accompanying person registration.
Selected contributors such as keynote speakers, conveners and award winners benefit from complimentary registration, while accredited journalists can attend free of charge through media registration:
- Early registration and standard registration options
- A reduced fee category for ICES committee members, expert group chairs and delegates
- A dedicated student category for full-time Bachelor’s and Master’s students
- Complimentary registration for selected speakers, award winners and key ICES contributors
- One-day participation passes
- Access to the conference app and keynote recordings
- Accompanying person registration
- Optional conference dinner tickets
- Free media registration for accredited journalists
All registration options include access to daily refreshments and lunch during the conference, and participants can opt to join the conference dinner during the event.
With the Call for Abstracts already open, the publication of the registration categories marks another key step towards ASC 2026, one of the flagship gatherings of the global marine science community.
