EurOcean Member NausicaĆ” Launches New Spaces Promoting Sustainable Seafood Consumption

Nausicaá has inaugurated two newly redesigned spaces dedicated to encouraging more responsible seafood consumption, centred around the Mr.Goodfish initiative.

The new exhibition introduces visitors to the challenges facing fisheries and aquaculture, highlighting how individual choices can support more sustainable seafood consumption. Through interactive and visual elements, the exhibition aims to turn visitors into informed “consum-actors” by providing clear guidance on how to identify sustainable seafood options.

Complementing the exhibition, the Comptoir de Capécure restaurant space connects awareness with action by promoting seasonal and sustainably sourced seafood. Located in Boulogne-sur-Mer, at the heart of Europe’s largest seafood processing hub, the initiative strengthens the link between education, local industry and responsible consumption.

Launched in 2010 and now expanded through the Horizon Europe-funded Mr.Goodfish 3.0 project, the programme continues to guide consumers towards sustainable choices and support the long-term preservation of marine resources.
