The A-AAGORA Spring School, titled “Upscaling Coastal Restoration Solutions with nature and people”, took place at the University of Aveiro from 20–24 April 2026, bringing together students, researchers and young professionals focused on coastal restoration and sustainable marine management.

Throughout the five-day programme, participants explored the role of Nature-based Solutions and Ecosystem-based Management in strengthening the resilience of coastal ecosystems. The Spring School combined lectures, interactive workshops, field activities and collaborative group work with exchanges involving experts and decision-makers.

Designed as a hands-on learning experience, the initiative encouraged participants to connect science, policy and society while developing practical approaches to address environmental and climate-related challenges in coastal areas.

The programme concluded with group presentations, reflections on the learning process and the awarding of certificates to participants.
