JPI Oceans invites Stakeholders to Propose New Joint Actions

JPI Oceans has launched its annual call for ideas for new Joint Actions, inviting stakeholders to share innovative topics and emerging challenges that could benefit from coordinated transnational research and innovation efforts.

Submitted ideas should align with the objectives of the JPI Oceans Strategy 2026–2030 and demonstrate where collaboration at the European level can add value. Previous stakeholder submissions have led to Joint Actions on topics such as ocean oxygen loss, offshore freshened groundwater, and European marinas, while recent proposals are exploring issues including plastic-associated chemical pollution and offshore infrastructures.

Ideas will be reviewed by the JPI Oceans Secretariat and considered by its Management Board for potential further development.

The deadline for submissions is 7 September 2026.
