The 5th Scientific Conference of Polish Marine Researchers: State and Trends of Changes in the Marine Environment took place from 22 to 24 June 2026 at the University of Pomerania in Słupsk, bringing together experts working on oceanography, marine geology, hydrology and marine environmental protection.

Researchers from the Institute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences played an active role in the event, presenting their latest findings, contributing to scientific discussions and supporting the development of the conference programme through their participation on the Scientific Committee.

The conference provided a platform for exchanging knowledge on the state of marine ecosystems, with a particular focus on the Baltic Sea and broader global ocean challenges linked to climate change.
