Surfrider Foundation Europe will host OFF, an Ocean-Friendly Film screening evening, on 28 September 2026 in Brussels, marking the start of Ocean Week 2026.
The free event will bring together film, discussion and exchange around some of the major challenges facing the ocean, including plastic pollution, water quality and climate change. The evening will feature three films: Glacier, Between the Tides and The Story of Plastic.
Glacier (2022) by Solal Moisan and Camille Etienne follows a father and son as they confront a changing world and the disappearance of glaciers. Between the Tides (2026), directed by professional surfer Miguel Blanco, explores recreational water quality and the links between ocean pollution and human health. The Story of Plastic (2019) examines the global plastic pollution crisis and the role of the fossil fuel industry in its development.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with special guests and a Q&A with the audience, offering an opportunity to explore solutions and collective action for ocean protection.
