The European WIN BIG project concluded its three year programme with a final event in Aveiro on 25 September, bringing together researchers, policymakers, project partners and Blue Economy professionals to discuss gender equality across Europe's marine sectors.

Coordinated by EurOcean member CESAM researcher Helena Vieira, WIN BIG presented its key results, resources and tools developed across European sea basins. The event also featured a round table on the future of gender equality in the Blue Economy, alongside the launch of the Women Ocean Champions exhibition and book, highlighting the experiences of 100 women working across the European Blue Economy.

The programme concluded with the Portuguese premiere of the European episode of the documentary Women from the Sea: Significant Gestures.
