The European Commission has launched a call for evidence to help shape a future Atlantic Maritime and Macro-regional Strategy, aiming to strengthen cooperation, resilience, sustainability and territorial cohesion across the Atlantic area.
Building on the existing Atlantic Maritime Strategy and Atlantic Action Plan, the new strategy will provide a broader framework to address shared maritime and territorial challenges, while improving coordination between policies, programmes and stakeholders. The European Commission is expected to develop the strategy by June 2027.
Stakeholders, including research and innovation organisations, blue economy actors, public authorities and citizens, are invited to contribute their views and help shape the future strategy.
