The TOOLS4OCEAN project, funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe Programme, aims to address plastic pollution across the land-to-ocean continuum by developing and advancing innovative tools, technologies and approaches for its monitoring, assessment and management.
Bringing together a multidisciplinary consortium, TOOLS4OCEAN seeks to improve knowledge of plastic pollution sources, pathways and impacts, while supporting the development of practical, science-based solutions to tackle this growing environmental challenge. By fostering collaboration among researchers, technology developers, policymakers and other stakeholders, the project aims to strengthen monitoring capacities and support more effective strategies to prevent and reduce plastic pollution in aquatic and marine environments.
EurOcean is a partner in TOOLS4OCEAN, contributing to communication, dissemination and stakeholder engagement activities, raising awareness of plastic pollution challenges and promoting the visibility, accessibility and uptake of project results and innovative solutions.
