The Fonds de dotation de Nausicaá has selected Guscio as the winner of the 2026 Tremplin de l’Économie Bleue, awarding the company a €10,000 investment and business development support. Fraytille received a special jury mention.
Based in Boulogne-sur-Mer, Guscio transforms discarded shells from the regional seafood industry into Marbre des Mers, a mineral material made from 50% recycled shells for furniture and interior design. The initiative promotes the valorisation of marine-sector by-products through a circular economy approach.
Fraytille, meanwhile, is developing a project to collect fish gametes from professional fisheries, fertilise them in controlled conditions and release the young fish into the sea, with the aim of contributing to the regeneration of fish populations.
Now in its fourth edition, the Blue Economy Launchpad supports entrepreneurs developing projects that contribute to a more sustainable blue economy and marine ecosystem protection.
