MARINA is a H2020 project dedicated to the implementation of Responsible Research and Innovation within the marine European sphere. The 3-year project started in 2016 and already organised a series of national and international workshops in which hundreds of stakeholders took part. The results were used to develop a collection of roadmaps to demonstrate how various relevant marine issues can be addressed in terms of the six RRI dimensions:
- Public engagement
- Science education
- Open science
- Gender equality
- Ethics
- Governance
A second round of those events will begin in January 2018. The project is now looking for additional collaborators who wish to join the 14-member consortium in the organization of the 2018 events which will be dedicated to:
- Marine biotech
- Deep sea mining
- Sea transportation
- Marine change caused by climate
- Renewable marine energy
The deadline for the expression of interest is 27 November 2017 4 PM CET.
