EurOcean Welcomes TÜBİTAK MARMARA RESEARCH CENTER as New Member

EurOcean, is pleased to announce its newest member, the TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (TÜBİTAK MAM) from Türkiye. This brings the total number of EurOcean’s full members to 11, representing 8 countries, alongside 9 cooperating members. The expansion further strengthens EurOcean’s mission to foster collaboration, innovation, and the exchange of information across the marine science and technology community.

As part of the EurOcean network, TÜBİTAK MAM represents an outstanding addition, bringing its expertise and research capabilities to the collaborative effort of advancing marine science and technology. Established in 1972 and based at the TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus in Kocaeli / Türkiye, TÜBİTAK MAM is specialized in areas such as Energy Technologies, Climate and Life Sciences, and Materials and Process Technologies.

Through this membership, EurOcean is committed to fostering opportunities that support TÜBİTAK MAM’s vision of becoming a global leader in science and technology. The collaboration will strengthen TÜBİTAK MAM’s mission to enhance Türkiye’s competitiveness on the global stage by leveraging science and technology to deliver impactful results. With its expertise, TÜBİTAK MAM is poised to contribute significantly to advancing ocean-based research, developing cutting-edge technologies, and addressing pressing environmental and technological challenges.
