EurOcean enters a new phase of leadership, uniquely composed of three accomplished women, reflecting its commitment to innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity in advancing marine science and technology.

Luz Paramio, the newly appointed President and representative of FRCT (Science & Technology Regional Fund, Azores Regional Government), brings extensive expertise in sustainability, governance, and innovation ecosystems. Luz’s dedication to marine policy, ocean governance, and the blue economy reflects her passion for the ocean.

Florence Coroner, EurOcean’s new Vice President and representative of founding member IFREMER, strengthens the centre’s international collaborations with her expertise in science communication, science diplomacy, EU research policy, marine policy, and public affairs making her a key advocate for aligning scientific evidence with regulatory frameworks. Her work at IFREMER, one of Europe’s leading marine science institutes, further enhances EurOcean’s global presence.

Sandra Sá, who assumed the role of Executive Director on January 1, 2025, has dedicated over 15 years of her career to EurOcean, embodying both professional dedication and a personal commitment to its core mission. With nearly two decades of experience in marine science and project management, Sandra has successfully led EurOcean’s Marine Research Infrastructures and Communication pillars, while playing pivotal roles in numerous European initiatives that advance the centre’s objectives.
